Volkanovski Expects Adesanya to Deliver Spectacular Finish at UFC 305

Israel Adesanya is on the verge of making history as he aims to reclaim the UFC middleweight championship for the third time. Known as “The Last Stylebender,” Adesanya has already established himself as one of the most dominant fighters in the division. With five successful title defenses during his first reign, Adesanya faced a major setback when he lost his belt to Alex Pereira at UFC 281. However, he quickly bounced back, delivering one of the most memorable knockouts of his career at UFC 287 to avenge his loss against Pereira.

The rollercoaster didn’t stop there. Adesanya’s journey took another unexpected turn when he lost his title to Sean Strickland at UFC 293, leading him to take a brief hiatus from the octagon. During his absence, Dricus Du Plessis rose to the occasion, defeating Strickland at UFC 297 and claiming the middleweight title. This victory set the stage for an intense grudge match between Du Plessis and Adesanya.

As UFC 305 approaches, all eyes are on Adesanya. Breaking down the main card on his official YouTube channel, the legendary featherweight expressed his belief that Adesanya is primed for a comeback. Reflecting on Adesanya’s past performances, he compared the upcoming fight to Adesanya’s masterclass against Paulo Costa, where he delivered an impressive and dominant victory.

“Dricus is very awkward, unorthodox, and he’s got awkward pressure, which is very hard for people to deal with,” the former UFC champion noted. “We’ve seen awkward pressure from Strickland give Izzy problems, but that doesn’t happen to Izzy twice.”

Acknowledging the challenges Adesanya faced in his last bout against Strickland, he emphasized that Adesanya would not be caught off guard again. “I don’t think there’s any surprises this time… He’s going to be ready – I think Israel Adesanya is going to put on that type of performance where he gets a crazy finish, and that’s saying something because Dricus is no joke.”

With the stage set for UFC 305, fans are eagerly anticipating what could be one of the most electrifying fights in the history of the middleweight division. Adesanya’s resilience, combined with his ability to adapt and learn from past mistakes, makes him a formidable opponent. The world will be watching to see if “The Last Stylebender” can once again rise to the occasion and cement his legacy as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history.
